Westlake Village, CA (PRWeb) December 8, 2006 -- Friday, December 8th at 7 pm is the CIF Northeast Division Championship between Oaks Christian High School v. Oak Park. Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California has won 44 consecutive games, tied for the eighth longest streak in California history according to CalHiSports.com. The Oaks Christian Lions are led by what many consider to be the top prep player in the country, Notre Dame bound quarterback Jimmy Clausen who is hoping to lead his team to a fourth straight CIF Southern Section Championship. Standing in their way is league rival Oak Park. The Oak Park Eagles have put together an impressive season of their own, compiling a 12-1 record with their only blemish being a 55-7 loss to Oaks Christian.
The Lions have waltzed through the post-season despite losing USC bound and nationally renowned running back Marc Tyler in the first quarter of their first playoff game. Nevertheless, Oaks has kept intact their impressive streak of not allowing more than 17 points in any game this season and not scoring fewer than 47.
